First, the app lists all the important information for your visit: hours, prices, directions, accessibility, visitor information, dining, and contacts. There are three different discovery tours available to download, ready for you to use offline on site. You can listen to the tours using headphones or by holding your smartphone to your ear, the way you would for a phone call. It’s best to download the app while you’re still at home and to take a peek at the monument. That way, you can start your visit as soon as you arrive on site.
The two-hour multimedia discovery tour of the palace garden contains 25 audio and visual stations: It takes you through the Baroque area and the geometric planting in the circular parterre, to the Temple of Apollo and the bath house, then via the orangery to the palace theater. Know your way around here already? A second tour takes you through the English landscape garden. On this two-and-a-half-hour tour, you will discover the highlights of this area of the gardens, including the romantic meadow valley, the Temple of Mercury and the famous garden mosque.

The accessible tour offers the opportunity to explore the Baroque grounds on an easy, accessible route for people with wheelchairs, walking frames or pushchairs. The tour offers a digital look at areas that are not accessible, and information on places to sit.

If you want to learn more specifics, you are invited to do so in deep dives on the topics “Everyday Life”, “With All Senses”, “Through Time and Space”, “A Closer Look”, and “Behind the Scenes”. If you are short on time, enter the word “highlight”. This will display the stations of the tours considered to be outstanding highlights. The tour is available in German, English and French.
We recommend downloading the app and your chosen tour at home so that when you arrive at the monument you can begin your visit right away. This allows you to explore the monument in advance.
